Some old comments:

I've recorded "Every Knee Shall Bow", but it's now called "Come, Praise The Lord". Also altered "Jesus Is Lord Over All" a little - I've also done a 6 minute remix of "Be Salty...", which will appear on the Disc somewhere... so it does – and I think it’s amazing!

"Going Home" is still in the cupboard - although I've written 2 new verses, so the door is ajar... but hasn’t opened sufficiently yet…

There are several songs in the extended list aimed at the younger market - none of these have made it to the Mark One version. There may be an opportunity for an album aimed at 4-6's later - although I've always struggled to do what I think I've got lined up next...

Below is the long list, all NN of them (at least 30)... during the process, some songs will be rejected at various stages, but this page should give an insight into the process..

It's Cool To Believe - This one is evolving; I have a different version for each day at our 2003 Holiday Club... I inted to do a full backing, but I don't know which set of lyrics to use... ... subsequently, ... I now have the thing recorded with a backing track... let's see how it sounds in a couple of weeks.... and then some ... this is very much a standard 12 bar blues thing.

4FR 2 Worship - hopefully complete, with an instrumental "Risen In The East" on the start. erm, it's a rock & roll thing.. The idea was to use numbers to make the song easy to remember.

Hero - hopefully complete. I wrote this for a halloween hero party - so the lyrics are deliberately light, but the backing has some nice bass runs on it.

Through The Years - hopefully complete. An instrumental called "Carry On" sits at the start of this one...The original song was an action ballad, but the recorded version has a more serious edge to it. The instrumental bits are particularly pleasing - sort of echo-ey reverbed distorted guitar type noise...

Angels On The Wing - just about complete. Having spotted that the verses fit the metre of "Love Divine", I've added a final verse to the tune "Blaenwern" at the end of the song. I may attempt to use the thing as a hymn in church as well... This follows the story of the lost sheep, coin and Son in Luke's gospel.

Future Praise - hopefully complete. I was messing about with loops, then sang whatever came into my head. I later tried some more structured lyrics following a theme, but it didn't really work, so the original stands. This is the old dance-derrivative-with-thumping-bass-and-beats-stuff.

Waiting For The King Of Glory - hopefully complete. I constructed the backing track, then thought of some words to go with it. Words added, verses written, words removed. It works better as an instrumental. ...but I'll print the words on the CD insert, so you can try singing them!

Every Day - hopefully complete. This is a Christmas rock & roll number, with christmassy overdubs.

Very Good Overture - hopefully complete. The organ-ic instrumental version of "One Day One". I was attempting to do the whole song, but it was too long, so I stripped it down to an instrumental. Listen out for the singing monk, otherwise known as the Delay Lama!

The Wondrous Cross- This one is an update of a traditional hymn. Tunes were forever being altered when the original appeared, (it's amazing how one suddenly becomes the 'real' tune )so here's an attempt to update it again.

Lord Of The Harvest - This was written for a harvest service, but not used. I've been playing around with drum loops in Cakewalk Plasma. Needs some major re-working.

Who Is The King Of Kings - I was quite pleased with this one; I haven't got round to the full version, but it ought to make it to the album. It hasn't yet!

Who Has Measured The Waters - Recorded with a minimum of backing, to break up some of the louder songs. This has a swing-jazz backing.

Be Salty, Don't Be Planky - now a definite - it's big and powerful. listen out for the very metal guitar.

Jesus Is Lord Over All - Recorded, but needing a little something... erm, still not sure....

Choose Jesus - reggaed up and sounding good

Gospel Train 2020 - this was something of a surprise, but it happened and it's pretty much complete. This is a dancy type series of loops, many of which evoke trains.

Come, Praise The Lord - A grown-up-ish chorus-y song. At the moment it has minimum backing (somewhat similar to the Jonah song on "Danger, God At Work"). The song is sufficiently strong to stay on the album with a bit more work on it...

Never will I leave you - this is a short song which doesn't yet have any backing other than guitar...

God Loves You - This is a very simpe ture with even simpler words. It won't make the final cut, but will sit well on a disk aimed at the younger market.

Big Trouble - This was about David & Goliath... I wasn't happy enough with it even to sing it in Church - but you never know...

On Day One - The planned recording of this ended up with "Really Good Overture" - whether I get round to the whole song, ... who knows?

Power & Authority - This is an oldie (we used to sing it in housegroup), which makes the long list for every album, but I haven't quite got round to recording it properly...

Lord Of The Future & The Past -This is an oldie (we used to sing it in housegroup - even at church a couple of times), which makes the long list for every album, but I haven't quite got round to recording it properly...

Big Black Bible - This is a vaguely humourous blues about the Bible. I'll need to check how many Blues's I've got lined up...

Yet I Believe - This one points out my (our?) inconsistencies... I haven't done any backing for it yet...

Who Made - this was hurredly written during Holiday club as a song with not many words... it could work...

Various Instrumental Bits - I have been playing around with loads of loops and constructed several short instrumentals of varying quality. As several of the songs on the album have an absolute minimum of instrumental, I may use some of these as spacers or as intro's to other songs.
